Day 1 and 2

We left our house for Utah on a Tuesday night around 7 PM.  I took the first driving shift and then we just switched back and forth.  It really worked out pretty well!  We made really, really great progress; we drove 27 hours and made it all the way to Laramie, Wyoming before we stopped for the night.  We walked into the hotel room and basically laid down and went to sleep right away.  Neither of us showered and we didn't change our clothes or anything.  Haha:) we did brush our teeth and put on deodorant though.  This is the route we took.

There was a total of 30 hours of driving, but it took us roughly 43 hours in all to get to Logan, Utah from Spanish Fort, Alabama.  That includes stops for food and for potty breaks.

We ate in the car or at rest stops for breakfast and lunch, which included muffins and PB&J sandwiches.  For dinner the first night on the road we stopped at McDonald's.  I hate McDonald's, but man that burger tasted so good.

Mazie was a freaking champ in the car.  She slept A LOT and chewed on some toys a little.  She didn't ever eat much, but she got out of the car, went potty, and didn't fight us getting back in the car.

Between a real map and Google Maps, there were very few mix ups and we basically drove ourselves, exhausted, right into Logan.  It was so glorious coming through the canyon to the place we call home.
